OPERATIONAL ADVISORY FOR INDEPENDENT CONCIERGE PRACTICE OWNERS

You built the practice. It still owns you.

You built the practice. It still owns you.

_______________

Concierge medicine was supposed to give you more freedom.

Every time you feel you’re at the finish line, something new pulls you back in and that’s not bad luck. It’s the gravity of your own success and determination.

THE REFRAME

“Doctors don’t know how to be entrepreneurs”. I’m sure you’ve heard some version of that myth before, but I want to offer something different. You don't lack the ability to build an exceptional business. You were never allowed to apply what you already know to the business underneath your medicine.

THE PATTERN

You've tried new systems, hired an extra person, taken online courses and perhaps temporarily fixed the problems in front of you. But you're still the only one who can't leave for a simple vacation.

YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW

Observation = Assess the patient

Vision = Decide the treatment plan

Operating = Treat the patient

Leadership = Lead the team delivering it

Trust = Know when it's working

THE FRAMEWORK

You've been practicing these skills throughout your clinical career. Now let’s point them toward your business.

OBSERVATION

________

For every diagnosis you stand back, gather the whole picture and resist the urge to treat the first symptom you see.

That's Observation.

VISION

________

You decide where you're going before you decide how to get there.

That's Vision.

OPERATING

________

You turn that decision into something repeatable and executable.

That's Operating.

LEADERSHIP

________

You give the people around you the clarity and authority to carry it forward.

That's Leadership.

TRUST

________

And eventually, after enough evidence & repetition, you recognize when something is working without needing to stand over it every second.

That's Trust.

The Honest Promise

I'm not going to tell you this ends in total freedom because maybe it never fully does.

What I can tell you is you'll suffer less. It feels good to hold firm on boundaries instead of ones you write down in your notes app and then abandon them. My hope is that you’ll have evenings and weekends that are yours and that you'll sleep better, because the to-do list that used to run on repeat goes quiet.

Not everything about running a practice gets easier but together we will find what is enough.

A quick note about the horses. They represent the freedom I worked incredibly hard to build for myself and they're a big part of why I do this work in the first place.

WHY ME

I've served as the COO of multiple start-ups and concierge practices.

I sat across the table with many physicians, in meetings or over dinner, as VP of Physician Partnerships for a company built to help doctors leave insurance-based medicine. I heard the same problems surface again and again. Most of them were ready to make the leap you’ve already taken but there are enough companies built to help with that part.

I'm here for what comes after the leap. Getting you across the finish line, or at least close enough so you can breathe.

Before any of that, I spent 18 years in critical care medicine and international disaster management. The middle of somebody's worst day, over and over, until reading the pattern and leadership became instinct.

NOT A COACH

I’m not a huge fan of the word “coach”. It’s too broad in the definition. I’m not your life coach or executive coach. I’m more like the catalyst. The one who helps you see what's already there, decide what you want, and build the systems that can let you loosen your grip and lead without needing to control every outcome.

I advise and provide systems and guides that are easy for you and your team to implement and own. I don't take a financial share of what you build, and I don't lock you into a platform you can't leave. My whole goal is for you to stop needing me.

You already have the pattern recognition. You've just never been taught to point it at your own practice.

Start with a complimentary Meet & Greet. There’s no pitch or high pressure. Just a conversation about where your practice stands and whether I think I can help!
